Why Diets Don't Work

Are you tired of diets that don’t work? Tired of jumping from fad diet to fad diet? Ninety days this or that, cut fats, cut carbs and the cut list goes on and on. I am tired of it all. Diets, let alone fade diets don’t work for the long term. There is no magic bullet. You will put the weight back on once the diet ends and likely even more as you now slowed down your metabolism. Bottom line is diets slow your metabolism. That’s right, your body adjusts and the results disappear. All that hard work gone and now you are in a worse spot. Your metabolism slowed down to the lower calorie intake from the diet. Now when you go back to eating normally, you boomerang back up to an even higher weight.

As I studied Sports Nutrition and Body Building I realized something and that something is a better way. Achieving results is all about building muscle while cutting fat. More muscle burns more calories. The more muscle you have, the more you can eat and the more fat that is burned naturally. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy that will give you the body of your dreams!

Yes, you can put on muscle and lose fat at the same time! This should be your goal. It is not about losing pounds but how you look. That’s right, let me say it again; it is not about how much you weigh but how you look. We all had the wrong goal all along. I find people are always shocked when the compliment me on losing weight and I let them know I am the heaviest I have ever been. It is just muscle that I gained which shredded off the fat.

My program will help you GAIN MUSCLE, CUT FAT and look better for the rest of your life.

The nutrition aspect of the program will be built around your own BMR – basal metabolic rate adjusted for actual calorie burn for total calorie intake. Adjustments will be made to add in significantly more protein as studies show, high protein diets help burn fat. We will then use a zigzag caloric approach that breaks the week up into a four-day period and a three-day period. Could also be a five-day and two-day period. The exact program will be based on if you are focusing on gaining muscle or cutting fat during that period. The primary goal is keep your metabolism on track while achieving your goal.

The exercise core of the program focuses on strength training to gain muscle and HIIT – High Intensity Interval Training to burn fat.
